I have just looked on the Clacton Gazette web site and it is saying that Top members of the council (including Iggy Wiggy) have been suspended.

About 15 to 20 years ago TDC got into trouble and investigations were carried out and as far as I know people suspended maybe even worse. Can anybody fill in the blanks?

Well, as we now fall headlong into that veritible couldron of iniquity, we have not just one Tendring Conservative Party, but, well, lots really.......
We have Tendring Firsts, Originals, and now some who dont know just who they are........

We have Labour, and Labour and Co-op`s....

And now i have lost track of who else is out there........

BUT, and i do mean...BUT.....If you - me - us - dont go out and VOTE....thats...VOTE.......you can have your local coalman standing for election, and nobody would know anything else.........

So, please, cast your vote for your best man or woman on the day.....
You know it makes sense.............

Well said Ivor,

Actually there is only the one recognised Conservative party now. Tendring First Bus Company are a new party consisting of those who were suspended and some friends, you then have Labour, Conservative, LD and of course lots of Independants.

But the fact still remains, you must vote and vote for the person who you think is committed enough and willing enough to do the best for the people who elect them, not because they belong to a certain party.

Look at the track record of your current elected councillors, did they do much for your ward, did they communicate with you, are you happy with what they have done for last four years, if not then look at the other candidates and see if you would prefer to vote for someone else but make sure you do vote.

Well Said Pepsi
I have no real allegiance to any particular party and feel that you should give your vote to the candidate who offers the best for the area he/she is hoping to serve regardless of what party they are in.
We have all sorts in the St Mary's Ward and I have been looking at the leaflets with some interest.I think I will go for the one with the best track record outside of the political circles for community work, who incidentaly actually came and knocked on my door and explained what it is they would try to do for this area.
Even hubby is voting this time as he is probably fed up with me nagging him.
If you don't vote , you have no right to complain after the event.
Just a shame that the Labour and Co-Op got it so wrong on the leaflets aimed at other parties ,but we are all fallible and I await with interest ,to see if they get out and about and knock on some doors to tell us what thier intentions are....I have another vote as we vote for two councillors ,so who knows...
As for Cons First Bus Group hmmmmmmmmmm we have not heard anything from them.....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ha..ha..ha..
And i thought i was orf me trolly......(bus..?..).....lol..

Out here in the Boondocks..(gold coast)..we only have had Dan and Maurice having leaflets posted..twice.....
Now what does that tell you about all the "others".......
Its all a bit strange that, really, because we have had our MP in the local paper telling all and sundry just how much he is doing for us all, but not a single leaflet from his party comes through my door.......

On that statement i will leave it there, for your comments......

Ever Ivan, your Gold Coast reporter, bringing life to your screens........lol....

Us residents in our Jewel of the Gold coast have had 2 nice young ladies, along with young Brian, doing the legwork to promote Conservatives to us all in Jaywick....

At least they were trying to "do their bit"......

So thanks to Cherie, Sara ?, and Brian.....
