OK, i know that this story has not much in common with Clacton,
except,..(thats a bit of a private joke)
1) its still a scooter, and we are still a club.
2) its going to mersea Island scooter weekend in a few weeks,
as a clacton club, so are we.
3) its all been achieved by normal guy`s, so are we in clacton.
4) the record breaking Lambretta engine puts out more power than most local cheque book scooter riders would ever have dreamed about,
even those in clactons outreaches.
5) the record breaking Lambretta rider NEVER wore a 2 tonic suit while achieving world wide fame,
unlike those cheque book riding oap`s who believe they are the best re incarnation of a 1960`s 16 year old thats justfound the meaning of life as they new it... 
in the 60`s... 
Oh happy daze eh...

"Keith Terry in his attempt to break the top speed record of 121mph that has stood since 1952. On Sunday, Keith ran his scooter the Kursaal Flyer at Elvingdon in Yorkshire and achieved a speed of 132mph. Amazing"
