As money is tight,
and the Walton lost Town project was talked about at wednesdays full council meeting,
why not place the Clacton Town Center water fountain in Walton, on or near the beach,
and call it Clacton, a lost Town feature........ Laughing ...

Did they mention what is happening to the strip of land in Great Clacton ,behind the Ship that they want to sell, Ivan?.
I have been looking at some of the Conservation Area maps that the council has circa 2002 ish and all that land is in the Conservation Area ,makes you wonder what they are up to ?.

Young Lin,
as the whole evening was something akin to a Monty Python sketch,
only half of the items were talked (cocked up/ laughed at) got through.
"we" only got as far as item 14-
we being the crowd that sat and watched unbelievable un democracy inaction,
not in - action.

try this link.

http://comad.tendringdc.gov.uk/co...15%20October%202008%20%20test.pdf

the way i read it (i have hard copy in front of me)
item 17.
part (A) land to the rear of Elmdon Court
part (B) Former public conveniences to the rear of the Ship Public House
(page 118) has not been read, debated, or voted on yet.

ok, on page 118 blah - blah - blah,
it reads that Lambert Smith Hamton have been instructed to lead the preporation of documents and instruction of auctioneers in accordance with the exemption set out in the contract procedure rules.

So, Cllrs Halliday, Sambridge and Skeels "called in" the decision for scrutiny, so i would approach them Lin for either an explanation, or the decision, as it was called in on the 4th September @ the scrutiny committee.

The good news is the council now recognize its potential to be used in part, of the new Tendring Way...... Wink

Seems like microcosm of our lords and masters in Parliament.
