Farcical is not the best way to describe whats going on now in Frinton.

To refuse entry to a child into a PUBLIC toilet is bordering on the insane.

To force that child to pee into a nearby bush is scandalous.

http://www.clactonandfrintongazet...inton_youngsters_caught_short.php

Do disabled persons still have to pay to use this rich mans mansion for pee`ing,
because with the disabled card / key scheme,
you get exclusive use of other facilities elswhere,
so it must be the same as in Frinton...

In the article in The Gazette, Mr Lines does not seem to think that there is anything wrong in engineering a situation where an eight-year-old is obliged to urinate in a bush. Let's take this along a few steps. If it's OK for an 8 year old then why  not a 10 year old and if that's all right then how about a 14 year old etc. He must tell us if there is an age at which it becomes unacceptable.

Similarly if he does not object to bushes being used as urinals why stop there. If there is no bush handy then the act can be as easily performed against a parked car or perhaps the wall of a councillor's house.

Coaches will leave Pier Avenue every evening at nine. Please bring a packed bladder.

Yes I am taking the p*** but he started it, Miss!

If the councillor is happy for residents to wee for free where they stand why do we need this expensive latrine in the first place Is it too late to convert it to a candyfloss and hot-dog stall?

Next council meeting will discuss the purchase of new signs reading "Bogtown on sea, (money to burn), twinned with Clochemerle".

Oh vicar,
Yes I am taking the p*** but he started it, Miss!
today i telephoned our finest at Town Hall to enquire about a RADAR key...

no its not to duck down, squat or something simular, to enable one to relive ones very full bodily exits for waste..

The RADAR key is purchased by the disabled, to enable easy access into PUBLIC facilities, that are kept apart from normal bodied persons, in the quest for built for purpose toilets........

OK then i asked, will my RADAR key work in the Taj Mahal ?
some minutes later, the very nice lady returned to say that unfortunatly, in Frintons new Pay 2 Pee toilets, the RADAR key is of no use...

Said the nice young lady, i`m afraid you will have to pay.....

I thought it was illegal to typify minority groups, such as the disabled....

As an update on our pay and non pay to pee palaces.........

http://www.tendringdc.gov.uk/Tend...c+Conveniences/Toilet_Opening.htm

If you look at the page header, you would assume that all T D C`s toilet blocks are as our world renound Taj Mahal, but sadly not..

the handy list tells all visiters just where you pay to pee.....

The Esplanade opposite Connaught Avenue, Frinton - Attended, 20p entrance charge
L & G & DIS & MB

But sadly it is not included in the NATIONAL radar key scheme for the disabled......

I can only wonder why it`s not...................lol....

So, lets have it straight, a disabled young man home from Iraq needs to pee, sorry says David Lines, we would look stupid changing the rules now.

David you look not only stupid but insensitive.

You have shown us your pride now we await your fall.

OK, well take that further..
1:- a "child" with no money desperate for a pee..
2:- a war veteran, back home, war weary, had a few beers to clear his mind, may have been on the beach in shorts..
3:- a disabled person, who holds a national scheme`s key that enables him / her self easy access to non public toilet facilities, that are private for their needs..

ALL will be victimised if they want to use a PUBLIC toilet..
ALL will be seen as "not nice" if they pee`d in a bush..

And Frinton council leaders still think they are special,
still think its OK to penalise others in need of a public service,
still think its OK to spend other peoples money to the tune of half a million £quid, then they can come down to my neighbourhood, and spend a few more quid for our street lights that have been out for months...
Why, as they now cant spend money on promanade lights, spend it on Jaywicks...

£500,000........now someone is taking the pee..............lol...
Hope it goes ok for the portfolio holder in the corporate management meeting on Monday, when he will be quized about its costings....

I just wonder if the public gallery will be big enough for "interested" spectators...

Well Ivan, what I find even more surprising is the fact that the Taj Mahal is not even open for as many hours as some of the freebie toilets, and yet people are having to pay for them..

In case anyone is interested, the below link takes you straight to all council committee meetings and other meetings, open to the public,  that are held.

http://195.99.151.50/meetings_list.asp

It is well worth looking thru the agenda and minutes of some of these meetings as a way of keeping yourself in touch.  Really good to see on the Developement Committee Meetings that some action is finally being taken to try and stop this "rubber stamping" of planning applications that has been going on for many years between the planning officers and the councillors of the development committe [councillor I. Johnson and her friends].

If the planning guidelines were actually interpreted correctly by our overpaid planning officers, we would not see half the mess that we are all currently suffering.

Back to our Taj Mahal,

I notice in last nights Gazette that questions are being raised to our Environment Portfolio holder on why the hugh cost for the old Taj in comparision to other intended public loos in the area.

The Management Committee Meeting where these questions will be asked is due to be held on Monday 18/208 @ 19:30 in the Council Chambers and will be open to the public.

I may just go along for the laugh !.

Desperately tried to resist saying that you can attend at your own convenience but I just couldn't hold it in any longer.

Why has not TDC thought oF issuing pee bottles which could be used under suitable clothing even in the street.

I remember many years ago standing on the Champs Elysees watching a vicar or priest or might even have been a Rabbi, standing in one of those strange French corrugated iron cubicles that is on a stand  that covers only the middle of the body with a conical roof on stilts over.

He quite candidly relieved himself in full view of passers by and did not turn a hair (I believe).

Have you ever had the pleasure to use one of these contraptions Vicar?

I  have indeed, but many years ago. They are called pissoirs and their beauty was that you didn't have to interrupt your conversation with your companions (male or female) whilst using the facility. I can vaguely remember something similar in Kilburn or Paddington in the 50's, an enclosure, open to the skies which stopped at about chest height. I imagine the cost of such a structure was well in excess of half a million pounds in those days. Eight-year olds however couldn't see over the top and were therefore encouraged to use nearby bushes.

Plus ca change

PS  please dont mention the new "pop out the ground"  poppinpeepots that are / is, installed in Colchester town center....

whilst you may be looking for the popppin pee pot, woe betide those who may stand over the top of the popper, popping, before you enact your peeing..

for health and safety reasons in peeing, in colchester at least, you must wait your chance to pee, until the correct time of the day, then pop, and your away..

conversely, at the appropiate time of night, you may be pee`ing, only to be cut short in stream, to have the object of your aim dissapear, at the end of its timed cycle, rendering your pee then continuing to be public.........lol

OK, i`ll stop now......

To put it in a nutshell - or a peepot - surely it is blatant discrimination not to allow the use of a RADAR key at the Taj Mahal?
One of the reasons they are used countrywide is that disabled folk are thought of as being able to access a public toilet for their convenience (sorry about that!) by avoiding having to stand in queues etc.  Also RADAR loos are wheelchair accessible.

As i have yet pee in the palace, i cannot comment on wheelchair access..

but as i`m "grandad" this week, a gentle trip to the Taj Mahal for a site (or is that sight) visit may be on the cards accompanied by a 7 year old (who oftain needs to pee)

I have my RADAR key, which is part of the National Key Service (N.K.S.) and will no doubt engage the local / national newspapers in my venture into free access as it is my lawfull right to do so......

From today's Gazette:

"There is a charge of 20p for using the toilets on Frinton Greensward and should anyone not wish to pay there is a free public convenience in nearby Old Way."

If there is another convenience nearby, why the Taj was another built there at such a ridiculous cost to Tendring taxpayers?

"This is no ordinary wee, this is a Frinton wee!"

Is there any truth in the rumour which I have just started that, given the extremely high quality of Frintonian urine, it is being collected in tankers from this facility and exported to a French town called Evian?
I have no idea why.

Well, Ivan, I look forward to reading all about your intended visit to the Taj Mahal.
It will be interesting to find out - RADAR key or not - whether there is a wheelchair accessible loo.
As a matter of interest - is it a 20p-coin-in-theslot to use the facilities or can you offer a £1 coin and ask for change? If they are manned all the time surely change can be given?

As for anyone really needing to pee very badly and, on approaching the Taj Mahal being told to go to Old Road because they haven't got 20p, then Old Road seems a very long way to go. Especially when walking with crossed legs.

Perhaps, Ivan, after your fact-finding mission you could attempt to get from the TM to Old Road in various stances of being in pain because of a full bladder? (or even worse)
Repeated journeys to try out different stances could, at worse, cause people to notice you and so publicise the problem.........

Oh vicar, even ian or evian for short, first started this complex pe-du-wee complex in the hills of west clacton in times gone by, for its sheep herders.

the gatherers of this undistilled light yellow substance, that in the correct light, sometimes  appear`s to resemble liquid gold.
this liquid-du-pee was sprinkled upon the landscape by the gathers of this gold like liquid, to enhance the growth of the grazing herds...

to give a name to this enrichment of the soil, its pee-ing pourers were localy know as "iggy-wiggy`s" its reason to be because of the wriggling of the worms that had any contact with the poured pee or its poor persons partisipating in the profit of pee soiled s o d.

over the years, the iggy wiggy`s prospered by protecting its rights to preserve protected areas from outsiders peering into their camp.

the protective persons peerages perplexed  particluler posing pee`ers by posting pissour posts upon peoples pages in the outer parts, or the outsiders of the gates.

this mythical encampment of "inside-the-gates" had made by default its king of 2 years, to be called in history books as "the Sultan of Frinton"
and with this title was made much money making murthlike merryment from great and grand schemes taken from past history of local life, like "takin-the pee"
this takin-the-pee was turned into an artform, firstly by making its king a 2 year term, then once into, or, onto his royal throne, in his magnificent tribute to this "takin-the-pee" a royal palace was made by mere mortals from the ground up to the sky.
this tribute to the king of pee-takers was named as the Taj Mahal, or taj for short.

when the iggy-wiggy`s were taking tolls from the Taj, once ensconded inside its walls, the streams of pee-ing-pee`ers were captured by the piss-takers, and as if by magic was changed into gold for its iggy-wiggy`s masters, to be kept for ever and ever.

time of course tells that tel`s tales take terrible tumbles, often when words are uttered from as high as its kings.
much talked of tales from tel`s tall orifices talked tempestously of the magic of the see`ers of the dark, this ancient ritual is performed by magic coated marshalls of the night, to stalk its prey from afar, to be placid police protecting persons properties promptly, with strange pieces purched upon ones facial protusions perfectly.
this magic of the dark was to be called "night-vision" so the all seeing eye can again see all before it before it becomes broken..

And so, the end to this tale is from even ian (evian for short) talks of much piss-taking in Frintons tankered Taj in telling just why pee-du-wee is good not for just local soils, but s o d`s outside the "gates" also...

Oh dear, me digits gone numb.........lol...

mojo, like all plans for mice and men, it all takes time to put into place, but,
your £1 coin ploy can be put to good use by the non- key`d customers..

they can ask for a season ticket, or even a bulk discount..

i can just see the headlines.

"Pay-2-Pee" but not for Free, even as pressure is put by "easye"

What makes this evian or was that even funnier, is that i have one particular illness that makes it a neccessity i have the use of free access toilets 24/7........no exceptions..............

So why then is there a free local toilet adjacent to the Taj Mahal, for what purpose is the Taj Mahal, if a adjacent one is / was / existing..

Is it just an exorsize in being plain pig headed in spending other peoples money, in a not really needed public toilet, just to be "my ones bigger than your one"
