and purchase a satelight reciever that doesent need sky cards or any other pay monthly cards to operate.

Cost, well you get everything except the "sat-finder"
but they are not costly, or borrow one, or by trial and error set the dish up yourself, ok, cost,
just £40 plus wednesdays 10% off...

The beauty of these type of systems is you can upgrade the sat dish`s operating box`s firmware via the internet, via usb cable...
