Today, in the pouring rain, and while those affected had more than adiquate notice, our old green open overhead copper wire power supply was cut down,
and then replaced with a single modern sealed power cable.

We had rows of 4 cables for years, strung along wooden poles,
but now got just one power cable.

Regenerational upgrades in my area of Jaywick takes on many forms.

Bit by bit, little by little, we get a bit better.

EDF energy had/has, its guy`s working flat out in the rain, to complete this big task without breaks, to ensure as little distruption to its consumers,
while this old bloke sits, watches telly, still online, nice and warm due to my generator, and new central heating reciently installed.

All the talk,
all the gossip,
all the public myths about good old Brooklands,
goes out the window when it comes to days like today.

Oh, nearly forgot, "out the windows"
well not mine, as i`ve had new windows and doors,
new high level roof insulation,
just about everything you could ever want for a comfortable life.

Brooklands, my part at least, I just love it.
And i`m not alone either. Wink

Tamarisk Way Car Park, Jaywick

Tendring District Council, working in partnership with Essex County Council, The Environment Agency and the East of England Development Agency, has completed an Improvement and Environmental Enhancement Scheme at Tamarisk Way Car Park, Jaywick. This included reconstruction of the car park, a new entrance and the creation of landscape areas along the Tamarisk Way frontage.

The car park has been re-named
"Jaywick Beach Car Park",
to promote its beach-side location.

And very nice it looks too.
*
next on the agenda from the team that planned this new designed car park,
is the transformation of derilict land behind the Community Resource Center, Brooklands.
*
Starting November, the landscaping design team brief is to transform a large area into public gardens.

Wink

If past, it`ll be taller than the single story it is now.

I met the guy who has done the drawings for it,
same guy who done the one with a 1st floor lifeboat that failed.

Managed to get permission for his own  new beachside home in the middle of jaywick,
very nice it is too.
