Felt sorry for this thread as no-one has posted on it.
What is your Best Village ??
I personally like St Osyth ,perhaps because some of my ancestors lived there ,I know (because my daughter lives there) that it is a friendly little place with a good community spirit and everything you need ie shops ect.We used to cycle down there when we were about 11/12 and have a picnic at the Priory ,not so many cars then.
Brightlingsea is another little mentioned place ,they have a super festival there in the summer and we like to sit down by the quay and enjoy fish and chips.

I always enjoy trips to Bradfield.

It's very picturesque and I've only ever met friendly people there.

Having said, if you move out of Tendring then Finchingfield, near Braintree, is just beautiful.

I go along with Karl on Finchingfield which was, bless her, my mothers favourite, but if you get the chance Kersey, Suffolk is worth a dally.

The Music Festival! I cannot wait for it this summer Smile It'll be later than usual though won't it?

Brightlingsea is an alright town in general though, even though there's enough pubs for London there :p

Hi Smile I've been trying to find a local site with people who actually give a damn for a while now. It's hard having conversations about environmental issues and local issues with a bunch of seventeen to twenty year olds who don't care about it much lol.

Saturday 5th of August this year apparently (checked the myspace, and yes I'm a bit of a geek :p) But then they have parties all weekend in the pubs so you'll know where to find me! =D
