Personally I have no issue with anyone wanting to worship anywhere. However, I do have an issue with groups expecting local councils to pay for the building.
As for the comments ,well, I have better tings to do then read them.
Now as this local rag story has gone on far too long, with varied posts from B N P supporters voicing there own "version" of like how it is!
The nice people in COAN Avenue Clacton have been swamped over the years by visitors coming to Clacton.
While here they also visit our touristy things.
So,
is the Temple a good idea for Clacton i ask,
does it promote tourism to a sector of tourists not normaly expected TO visit our golden coasts.
I know for sure that on some days, the visiting worshipers vehicles make local residents on Coan Ave & adjacent roads a nightmare for parking,
so perhaps the Temple should move to an open area with plenty of space surrounding it.
They did apply to purchase tower F martello Tower in the summer, but it fell through, parking being just one problem too much.
Just a thought, on the end of Clacton pier we have the ex ballroom, lots of space, but not a lot of parking unless you go by boat....
now theres an idea..

the responses on there sicken me. It disturbs me what this country is becoming. allow the Hindu's their temple of worship, it's fair enough, christian's have enough of them over the country! It seems that many in this area believe that diversity is a sin, downright disgusting. Especially spouting off the 75% of children have foreign mothers rubbish, who cares? If they come here legally, in the way in which this country allows them too, then let them come here and let them worship how they choose too.
The problems confronting our world are far more important than all this divisive race stuff , that springs from ignorance and fear.
People in this country have been largely kept in the dark about our history and what we have done abroad.
People from all over the world have contributed to the wellbeing of this country for many centuries, none of this would mean much to a bigot however.
Government ferments race problems whilst pleading the opposite.
Divide and rule is behind most of the religion and race hatred, historically it has always been so. (God is on our side etc)
Someone once said he felt he was a resident of the Earth, rather than a resident of some principality or other. More of this sort of thing would help.
As the results of our excess come home to roost (when sea levels rise) will those that decry immigrants not want to save their own skins and seek higher ground where food is still available you bet they will. They would be aghast if they were turned away.
