Anyting Exciting Happening over the Easter Break ???
Hello ,feeling a lot happier and have been watching what you are getting up to with quite some interest.I promised Ivan that I would come back and as I have been so busy have at last found some spare time Whoopppeeee.
Right ,what is happening over the Easter weekend ,I have a bored 12 year old who will cabbage in front of a Playstation if allowed.
Got his Free Swim Card so thats a couple of sessions a week ,but at a loss as to what to do ??
Suggestions welcome.

ok, as i`ve been to our martello tower yesterday, ahead of the towers opening for the season, it has a great exhibition called the spirit of jaywick.
its 2 floors of local photos, verse, and stories good and bad of our area.
The view from the top on a sunny day is brillient, better if useing binnocolors (thingy`s)
Monday is the Ace Cafe Southend Shakedown motor cycle and scooter run
(look on the ace cafe website)
we will meet at one of the pubs on the A127 then join the 1,000`s going to sarfend.

I hear Chris Southall ( Green Man) is organising a woodland walk over at Wrabness .Suppose it would be fun to do that in the daylight.Last time I walked those woods was on a very dark evening at the end of October .Not what you think though Ivan ,it was to take our boy scout to a Halloween Camp.
what's the bet that we end up at maldon like we ususally do .Not that I am complaining ,I like Maldon knocks Clacton and it's non- Fountain of Yoof into a cocked hat.
I have also noted that our Ivan has refrained from doing the 'pointy ting' with his pics in the Gazette.Bet he could hear our voices as his pic was taken and he put his hands in his pockets so as to make the temptation less.

I've been keeping an eye on the site for the last few weeks whilst remaining silent. you've no idea how difficult that was at times!!!

Must admit I have been doing the same ,then thought if I don't say something soon I may explode (not a nice mess for other members of my household to pick up).
So ,anyone any idea of anything going on locally this weekend ? or have I got to go and buy the Gazette ?.

The pier sems to be where it's happening at the moment. The introduction of new rides so quickly after the arrival of new owners bodes well for the future. I think the idea of market stalls on the pier can only enhance the attraction.
And don't let's forget folks, more visitors means more grockles for Lin to prod with her pointy stick. It's what they call a win-Lin situation.

I know I moan about the Grockles but hey ,shall I live and let live ,go with the flow and see just what it is that Clacton has that appeals to our 'Little Visitors'?.
Ok for one weekend only I am going to behave like a holidaymaker .Amusements ,Pier ,Beach ,Chippies and sit and play the Imagine a Fountain game in the WES.

BBC pirate radio in Harwich?
yup, on monday.........i`ll explain..

Hi all, I’ve been contacted by a guy organising a do at Harwich this weekend, it is to promote the premier of the film the boat that rocked, there will be all the original DJ’s from the pirate radio station radio Caroline from the 60’s i,e Tony Blackburn, & jonny walker to name but a few, doing there stuff on BBC radio Essex, he’s asked me to see if I could get as many MOD’s/scooter boy’s down there for us to show off our scoot’s as this is a 60’s event.
so I suggest a ride out from Colchester this bank holiday Monday down there via manningtree taking the back road to end up there on mass, so meet at mc Donald’s on cowdray avenue at 11am to leave at 12pm, I don’t know what we’ll find down there but it’s a good excuse for a ride out.

knows a thing or two about scooters, (as he has a shop in colchester!)
but it should be a good day event, more so for those who like the odd photo.
(yes mrs leafy mould does wonders for your smalls, even you if your passing out that way, before taking pictures of non pointing odd persons)
and, before you prod me with a sharp stick, it was chucking it down with rain that day outside the tower, my hands were holding my wig.......lol......as if!...
