When I first visited a Chinese restaurant in the late fifties it was simple fare, most wanted by our starving crew was scampi in tomato sauce with egg fried rice. Never tasted better anywhere since and have gone off (can't afford) eating out.
However I won't be missed at the Olympics I'm sure.

amenity, although in clacton town centre, charlie chans (i belive) up the stairs above the amusements in pier avenue, do a buffet, eat as much as you like, for £11-50 each.
We dont go much, but for a birthday treat on the 6th, we had 2 hours of ordering from a menu, starters, pre course, main course, and "afters" (pineapple friters & ice cream) for me....
