This response from Svenska provoked mixed feelings in yours truly have any of you got an opinion on this?

I am proud to be a member on this site and I hope the rest of you are as well. Let's try to close this chapter here and turn over to a new page. It's a new year, as Ivan said, so let's try and make the most of it. I think that if a couple of us calm down a bit then there is no reason that this should not stop now. End of story! It was good to see that somebody (thank you Stephen!) was willing to take a stand and step in a little earlier on but I really think that this argument should draw to a close as soon as possible (but preferably now!)"

I am reminded that one of the posts I put on "dissappearing items" along the lines of

ive read your post on the nhs and found it rather interesting,i used to be married to a nurse who worked on a cancer ward and i have nothing but admiration for nurses and then there is me getting stressed if i cant find my pen at work!!!

Have been given a new badge ,it says 'The Peasants are Revolting' heh heh heh.One of my Old Crusties brought it home from Glastonbury ...think it sums me up Me tinks we should all get one.I am off there later in the year tinks I will have to buy the shop up.

What is it with Svenski ??? me thinks she is reading this site ,seeing what posts get the most replies and starting new threads on the other side .
We chatted about the weather /global warming and it appears there the next morning ,then we chat about our memories and suddenly they appear on the other side...
I notice she never has an opinion ,just starts new threads or ORDERS us about by poking her nose in. The words 'Teaching Grannie to suck eggs 'comes to mind.
Anyone spot any more ???

We Foster a 10 year old with Autism ,not known to have a great sense of humour ,but that made him laugh .He also found it funny that you rode your bike down the slide....

im having a very easy day today,whilst the cats away the mice will play.
would you believe the day after the slide saga i tried riding my bike between the swings as they went back and forth,i ended up in hospital again with stitches in my head,im such a role model for todays youth!
kids moan so much about not having anything to do but i had so much fun in my school days.

What about The Palace on the seafront ,probably before your time,we used to go roller skating there ,there were huge pillars to dodge (wouldn't get away with it now ,what with the H&S brigade).We would all link arms and one would hold onto the pillar ,whilst the rest of us would skate round,I always made sure that I wasn't on the other end ....they must have been doing 90 mph.
Cook and Eaves ....spent long hours peering through the windows at the toys, I got a view finder there.
Saturday morning pictures at the Odeon where we HAD to Stand and sing the national anthem before the Magic Mirror man came on......
Not going to mention the goings on at Green Lodge..
Oh and Neapolitanos Milk Bar in Station Road ,Mum would treat us to a knickerbocker glory if we had been good all summer
Lin ...having a nice cuppa after doing the hospital appt tingy....didn't see Ivan.......bet he was in casualty having his lashed back oinkmented by a nice young nurse

as a end of summer treat we was taken to butlins for the day to go in the amusement park.
do you remember the swimming pool in butlins which had the glass sides so that if you was having a coffee in the cafe you could see people swimming,many a time people would pull their shorts down
i used to go to the youth club at green lodge,so c'mon spill the beans or should it go on ivans 18+ forum!!!
do thay still have the youth club at green lodge?

Guys just a thought - I am loving reading this despite having no idea who the people are or where the places are - could you not start a seperate thread so that it doesnt get lost. I am sure lots of people have lots of funny stories to tell. Thinking back to something said on another thread it would be a shame for all these fab memories to be lost.

A sort of all our yesterdays like what they have in papers.
