Frinton phone box

Re. Todays Evening Gazette

"Save Frinton Phone Cox", Ivan? What were you thinking about.
On second thoughts don't answer that
ivan burit

You know vicar, them phone boxes are 10 a penny in Tendring
(much like the iggy wiggy)
If you venture down Oxford Road, it looks like someone has let old red phone boxes breed..........quite simply hundreds of them about the place.

While reading amid uncontrolled laughter, the story of a bejewalled monk looking man being asaulted from behind by a faded phone box, while wearing a sly grin in the proccess..

The story is far too long to reprint here, BUT,
"Frinton & Walton Town council also suggest the telephone at Frintons new toilet block could be made available to the public in case of emergancy"

Now at this point the emergancy should be placed in order of importance, or by Frintons residents, impotence..

If you was desperate for a pee, would you gain access to the Taj`s interiour..without paying 20p to pass go (or 20p to pass something)

If you was desperate to use the telephonic device, would you also gain access too....without paying a further 20p to pass go (or pass to go)

A third option may well be use the phone box as an emergancy loo, and a emergancy phone box.
By doubling up its impotence, sorry, importance, it must be allowed to stay sited........surely...

small point also worth remembering, Frinton has, as we are told by its Mayor (of a 2 year term) ANOTHER toilet block nearby, then why not place the free to pee pubic (sorry) public telephonic device inside that.

If not its back to my first option of emergancy pee`ing and phoning at the same time.....oh dear, that sounds sooo awfull..........

Now just where do we place the required dog poo bins ....ummm

I know, place them inside the soon to be redundant red phone box......

As a true ESSEX boy would say...............SORTED MATE........

well not quite it seems.

on the next page of todays gazette, we have a delightfully written  story of a HOAX caller warning.
it would apear that an unknown person has been making hoax telephone calls to the emergancy services in Dovercourt........nasty, horrid despicable people do that sort of thing....

Now where have you seen someone so in love with a telephone box, they would do anything to gain publicity............
Nah, it cant be........
Surely not, can it..... Wink ...

Did I read somewhere that Iggy Wiggy wants a small fortune to build a Yoof Club ??.

Then ,all of a sudden we read in the EG that Frinton has a 'problem' with groups of youths hanging round the portal to the Forbidden City ruled over by it's Csar from his Taj Mahal??? .Strange that hey? Are we having the wool pulled again...wonder how much he wants this time.
ivan burit

Lin, a better story would be build it on or near the whalings, then the cost for the whalings improvements would be bourne by the tax payer, via a new snotty yooof club.
well it would be near that other snotty club, the golf one....lol. Laughing

ooops, looks like i`ve been black ball`d again.... Wink ....ha..ha..ha....
pepsi

Lin,

Iggy Wiggy has already got his 1.2 million for his "yoof" club, the money has already been allocated and work is due to start soon.

Pity that most of the youth will not be able to use it though.
Lin

Let's just hope that the youngsters of Walton get a look in .
Have you noticed how it's always Frinton that gets everything.I do feel sorry for the youngsters over there as there is nothing really (out of season) for them to do.
As you have probably guessed ,I like Walton (even though the Vicar has still to drive me over there to watch the ships passing by and a cup of tea on the way home ,memeory like an elephant me  Wink )

Are they still planning on putting it at Kirby ?
pepsi

Yes, it is earmarked for Kirby.

Believe that the plan was for the cadets and brownies etc. to use it and it could be hired by other groups.

Sounds more like a posh village hall to me.

....

oooooooh wonder if Kirby has a scooter club Lin.?

although i`m too far gone to be a brownie, a guide or a scout,

I doo have a passion for all things beutiful......lol

your turn.....
Lin

Oh I don't know .I reckon you still have your 'woggle' somewhere Ivan.

Must agree with Pepsi ,it certainly does not sound like a Youth Club ,as you say more like a Posh Village Hall ,probably did not get as many objections that way.

Truthfully though ,I don't think this will answer Frintons Yoof problem ,the last thing we wanted as teenagers was grown ups putting down thier rules and watching us like hawks.

I watch the bigger kids at Clactons skate park(my nearly teenager can't wait till he is big enough) ,they seem happy enough ,why did Iggy not come up with this idea ? ...oh yes ,he probably has it in the pipeline ,putting it at Walton (or somewhere near enough to get more of Jaywicks money) where they cannot upset folk who are easily annoyed by noise ,be it from teenagers having a laugh ,fridges humming behind shops ,people having a drink in the local or (dare I say it ?) fish frying  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

Did you ever try those wonderful chips made from a variety of vegetables such as carrot, swede, parsnip and spinach but not potato, should be called having your veggie and eating it too.

Heres a link to a page for veggie chips but these are not like the crinkle cut chips from Asda (no longer available).
