Gosh, good news, £2,000 for your old car from Gov.UKWell, its not that simple, even worse, the Gov.UK thinks that its we that are simple i think.
Read what Martins Money Matters thinks of the scheme:-

plus, have you ever thought just how much of earths resources ARE used in making a new car, even worse, most are made abroad, then shiped 1,000`s of miles, offloaded, left out in all weathers, to stand, collecting sea spray, sand and sun for months, some are left on muddy fields, some are left on ex usaf airbases in the middle of knowhere, wating for someone to think they own a "new car"
My thoughts are, even if your car is in that "10 year old" bracket, or well over in my case,
3 in the 15 to 17 year old group, plus an italian imported vespa @ 24 years old,
ALL of these vehicles had earths resources used up light years ago, when it was easier to come by, but use very little now to keep on the roads, as i can only drive one at any time.
Read Martins thoughts on the Gov.UK`s deal, then read again my thoughts on old verses new......who is more green ?
