It's been a long time coming this post.
My wife and I went shopping to Lidl's we go there quite often. We purchased something in a packet and when home it was found that the packet was empty, Oh no, what shall we do they will never believe us?
But they did, no questions asked, just go and pick another was the helpful advice.
Hopes for mankind soared.

Not sure where to post this, but....
Some "old" friends of ours came to visit us at home yesterday as they were having some rest and recouperation after Mr had small op. done on his hernia...
We talked about Town Centre, the lack of Blue badge parking (his Mrs has full rights) and the need to buy a pair of trainers for Mrs.....
The first thought of mine was to go to Pier Ave central for Shoe Zone = big shoe shop, sells lots of shoes...
Ah, well, Mr says. Would be nice to get there, but cannot find anywhere to park..
drove round in MASSIVE circles to try and find a Blue Badge space that was near enough....
Apart from sitting behind the very few spaces in Pallester Road and waiting for a space, we could not find one.....
So they drove out of town................
Now as Mrs still wanted a pair of trainers(she only brought sandels coz it was hot when they left home.) they thought---Clacton Shopping Village.......
So they went to our out of Town shopping experiance, saw all the cars parked in its massive car park, joined to many parked cars, and walked the short distance to the vast array of shops, and i belive they purchased what they wanted.......
Now at this point of the story he was telling me, he looked a bit mystified.....
Why is it that that all them cars parked up on the other side of the road, was there hardly anybody shopping on the shops side of the road.......
Did the occupients of said parked cars all vanish in the lift or underpass in the transition from one side to the other side of the road.......
As normal, i sat and laughed..( i laugh a lot..)
So, Fair Maidens and Most Gentil of Knights, just who - what - when or where is the truth of the disapearing occupents of said parked cars..
I have my duty to explain all the mysterious goings on to my (old) friends from the smoke, as they think its some sort of strange goings on, with the likes never seen in London and its outskirts, as they now belive that us in that most strangest of open spaces of lands are < not quite right >.........
HA...HA....HA....
I do laugh a lot....
(easye, your gold coast reporter-just doing his job..)..lol...

I've just had the pleasure (??????)of using the town ,luckily I came out unscathed as I had a 10 year old with me who has been studying the layout....even he agrees it's stupid ,especially where you come out at the end of Jackson Road and all the traffic is coming from the woolies side with no intention of giving way
What have they done to our town ???????
Didn't bother stopping long just popped in and out to collect a prescription that had gone to the wrong chemist and I had to pay for an hours parking

Funny you can say that amityville, you terror........lol...
Praps said missing bods are infact our new Haven Gateway Regen Team, that have gone into hiding for about 6 months, to have proper rights given to them by said EEDA led chappie, who has ridden into Town on massive white charger, with battle flags flying from his long pole thingy...
that proclaim himself to be the do`er of all goodly things, this side of Camebridge...... ... .. .

They've screwed us over that's what theyt've done. I live in Ellis road, and all the damn traffic comes down my half of the road out of town. I can't drive but sitting in a car with people who are very familiar to Clacton, we have gotten lost numerous times trying to navigate that ridiculous system -_-

The cars in the car park are only ever visitors of the Village and they are shopping there to!
Because the stores and area is spread over a large area it doesnt seem as though there is many people. There can be 1,000 people on site at one time and you still wouldn't think there was that many people there.
Customer car park also doesn't have staff parked in there either as they have there own car park!
By the way if they ever come back! there is wheelchair service available if they ever need it! |

Oh Jollypops, i thank you for your most enlightened comments........
Us mere mortals were left in sometimes wondermont in the realities of real life...
I will indeed pass on that very information you gave me, in reply to my question..
Just a thought, do you / do they.(at Gt.Clacton) publisize the fact that they do provide wheelchairs for the disabled.......?
I do indeed know that Blue Badge holders have car parking close to the lift access..
