Which is the best local message board?WHICH IS THE BEST LOCAL MESSAGE BOARD?
This board: 30 users, 1603 articles. That's 53.5 articles per user
That board:252 users, 869 articles. That's 3.4 articles per user
This board: 22 out of 30 users have posted messages. That's 73%
That board: 71 out of 250 users havae posted messages. That's 29%
None of the last 95 people to register have posted anything!
This board: Most exotic user location - "Forgotten jewel of West Clacton"
That board: Most exotic etc.etc. - Russia, Indonesia, Porn, Viagra, Debt Consolidation. (It goes on)
Out of curiosity I looked at the number of posts by the most prolific users over there. There were 7 who stood out from the crowd. Here is each post total and the percentage of the total which it represents:
Essexgurl 222 posts 25.61%
DaveB 93 posts 16.73%
Challsi 108 posts 12.46%
Lin 81 posts 10.5%
Amennity 279 posts 32.11%
Sara 114 posts 13.12%
Ivan Burrit (who?) 318 posts 36.59%
To save you the trouble of adding them up, these seven individuals have contributed 1225 posts out of the total of 867 (?)
When you add the percentages it comes to 141.12% of the total.
I think there are 4 possible reasons for the anomalies.
1. There's a shedload of posts awaiting validation. (Wouldn't be surprised)
2. There's been a warehouseful of posts deleted but left in these totals. (Wouldn't be surprised).
3. One plus one no longer makes two (Anything is possible if you wish hard enough).
$. All the above.

Funny how half of those members also post regularily on here, I assume because of the fat arses on the other forum who refuse to validate a post that forms an opinion. Arsewipes.

I had soooo many posts deleted with no explanation....it got to be a bit of a game in the end. Then I thought smiler that why am I bothering to make the forum look like it is popular when they dont allow freedom of speech.

Not only that ,I have been told you can absorb calories through the skin or via the computer tingy ting and crisps have lots of calories.......
Thats it ,I'll lay off Roger from Glastonburys Scrumpy now.......by the way we have a new superhero....Captain Invincible....or as he would say....Tah Dah......coming on a scooter near you (ooooooh that sounds naughty ,shall I rephrase that ...Hmmmm...Nah)

Well I was enjoying the holidays for the first week and now I cannot wait till they are over

This site is better definately without question, purely because we can express actual opinions here! Ha. (And I'm still annoyed that our MP is a dickwad who still hasn't contacted meon his views in regards to the coursework, months later).
Ditto that on summer holidays EssexGurl! I think the only thing I have left to enjoy in these times are the Beer Dig next week and results day, and results day is purely because I should be out and about afterwards drinking my socks off to commiserate the grades I don't expect to be getting (i.e. the good ones!). :p

Have been away for nearly a week living it up at the Edinburgh Festival.
I looked 'on the dark side' and saw that there were only 4 posts since I last looked.
On this site (in the same number of days) there were 15.
Says it all really, doesn't it???

Deleted posts will not go unnoticed, who likes having their opinion trashed without explanation and cause?
The public expect to be cheated by beaurocrats but have they become enured by constant exposure?

My old and trusty (more like rusty) old lap top..( no sniggering at the back EG - "L" or Vicar) and i dont mean lap top dancing either......................right thats out the way....

Ok i`ll start again.. my poorly PC has expired, to go no more...
i have shuvved more reboot disc`c into its innerds that than i can count, i even fell asleep last night with tired head on poorly PC at 1-30 am trying again for the 5 or 6th time, to re-install the 3 disc pack that came with the pc when new, but the old girl..(not EG ) just wont start up proper like luvvies........
So, i am now on a girly pink screen PC of my daughter No. 2`s and trying to places where no man has been before...TA---Daaahhhhhhhh........
(my wife "worries" about me"....lol.....

No truth in the rumour then, (which I've just started) that you were away on a sponsored walk from Macdonalds to the fountain to raise funds for the "Councillor's Response Is Swiftly Photographed Section" of a local paper.

I reckon a poorly PC is just a lame excuse for Ivan spending too long at one of the 'stop off refreshment tables'en route..... arms chopped off indeed ,just numb from lifting heavy crisps to ones mouth.

Ho Kay, i`m back, with a quick flash...Taaa Daahhhhhhh...
my time spent under the spell of girly pink has bin an gone.....hurrraaaaaaa..
not sure what i did right, maybee the tears of a clown on the keyboard done the trick..(or was it i found a tiny reset button underneath)...
with referance to my sponsored walk twixt the two points between, what about making it a sponsored swim -a- thon all around the vaulted fountains of yoof painted silver all over in trying to re-create scenes from that fine movie "blue juice".......... and i dont mean blue slurpies with tri-coloured straws either....
instead of passing the crisps.....the devilish duo not included, instead walk just a few more steps down pallister road into one of the most rated fast food shops in town....J D`s pie and mash shop, brillient pie n mash, does pease pudding and "faggots".....(stop sniggering you lot)..and for you sea food luvers - jellied eels all wobbling abart on a plate......
now if you do go into Johns place, what ever you do dont ask about scooters, unless you got a vespa........lol.......taaaa daahhhhhh.......JD`s do take away too..lol....................now your asking what the hells bells was blue juice---surfs up in newquay maties.....................

I notice that Frinton Massive is still waiting for his latest post to be validated ,he put it on there at about 9am yesterday and still not done.
Pfffft ,what is the use of having a board that the moderator (still think they would be a good Dr Who Villain....ooooeer here come the moderators ,try it in a Dalek voice ) never validates ,or only checks once a week.Hardly makes for good conversation value does it?.
I often pop in and out of the DC site and wait for a post to be validated only to find it has gone the next morning ,frankly ,I'm surprised anyone bothers to put an opinion on there anymore.I certainly don't bother ,logged out one day and never logged back in again (Thank the Lord for that says  )
