To be honest I'd say none of those three - at times.
I've had to await validation and then the thread is never seen again. My comments have been kind and about something quite innocuous, uncontoversial.
The fact that the words 'awaiting validation' pop up immediately a thread is posted makes me wonder if the threads contain a key word and that's the reason.

I do know that this explorer fellow had at least 2 of his web based newspapers quotes put into the thursdays paper.......
Well, i dont know....i put it all down to another very nice lady (apart from you Lin.) who uses a note book and a pen and sits oh so quiet and polite at various meetings......Oh stop it Ivan, you will make her blush, i have just been told by my nearest and most expensive, who keeps an eye on me when awake ..(her-not me...lol.)zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

We have been getting some rather interesting leaflets from the Labour party coming through the door .They are making a point about our councillors not being local ,banging on anout it left ,right and centre. Now ,I would agree with them but look at the 'local' we are getting as a prospective MP for Clacton.....does IH actually live in Clacton??????.
Sorry but thier rather personal attacks on our current councillors are a bit over the top and although the Labour Party finds them amusing ,vindictiveness is not a very appealing attitude to have.
I can understand how Essexgurl got so fed up with petty politics.
By the way ,in case they read this ,I am one of those 'undecided' voters that does not support a certain party ......I just vote for who I feel will represent us best. They are fast losing this voter by the underhand tactics they are using.
That's it ....Grumpy Old Woman moan over for the day |
IH definitely lives in Harwich - doesn't seem to have the guts to stand here though. Funny that.
As for the other site.....as far as I can tell new threads have to be validated. Seeing as most new threads seem to get deleted I'll tell you how to get around to get around this. There are 2 ways. One just post in a thread thats already going unless he has changed the rules that shoul dbe fine. 2 make sure the new thread post is as innocent as possible - you know doesnt mention politics at all. Wait until it is validated....then simply as it is your post go back and edit it to what you really want to put |

Hi young Lin, hope you had some good pics.. It was like a madhouse today, but jolly good fun...
On our Jaywick Sands site, under what made you smile today, is a brief discription of the day for me.....A long day it was too...lol...
After getting back home and having the usuall cup of tea, i went onto my "square eye" thingy, which promptly threw a wobbly and shut down.... So after spending ages re-booting it for it still to be havin a bad day...
At this point, after having a big plate of yummy spag-boll, more tea, lock the scoots up, water the plants, watch a bit of telly, then falling asleep, twas time for propper beddy byes.......
Then about 3-30, with me brain naggin, i woke up, had more tea (what would we do without tea..lol.).. switch this evil eye back on to find that No. 1 son has done the business on the tingy and here we go agin.........lol.....
My computer has more crashes than banger driver..........
So, its now 4-30, i`ve answered my emails and its time for more shut eye me thinks........Hope you got to see the mad masses....Speak soon.....X..terrible Ivan...lol.. _________________ In truth we seek,In truth we learn,In Tendering,We get neither.. |

Hi Ivan ,we were particulally impressed with the Hendrix bike ,yup we liked that one and the one with all the mirrors on ,and the chop one (that was the grandsons favorite ).Didn't stop long as we were being moaned at by youngest grandson about how cold he was.Got a couple of pics of the above mentioned bikes. What a well behaved crowd as well .
Looks like you had a good time.
Computers ,arrrgh when they go wrong I just pack up for the day and wait till a more competent person comes in .
Oh and I liked the Brian Ferry bike but the grandchildren did not know who he was ,just goes to show what we listen to in our house as Hendrix was recognised straight away.Hope no-one got blown into the sea as it was a bit breezy down there.
The OH was very good about taking us as his interest is good old british bikes. |

Well done young Lin and family..Yes it was a bit hectic on the day...lol...i`m still trying to recover........
No. 1 son just said that the "brian Ferry bike is a Clacton scoot club bike, and it was about £5k`s worth.......
Did you notice that most of the scoots owners were the wrong side of 21....ha ha ha......as it happens (guys an galls) ... the guy that runs the Clacton club had a suprise announcement for his 40th birthday inside the Beach Diner......He took it in good humour, but i dont think he wants to have any more birthdays for a while...Ho Hum.....
Did you see any of the "darkside" scoot club bikes or owners, most of the bikes are Italjet Dragsters, and i will not comment on the race only top speed of the modified ones at nearly 85 or more MPH.................
I do know of a Gold Coast resident who has a "rev an go" auto (not geared) that will do (on a race track..??..) 75- 80 mph..........oh dear....lol...but like all things in life you pay for what you get < petrol consumption is "not too good">......
If the OH likes big bikes, have a look on the "ACE CAFE" web site, as they are having a run to Southend on Monday i think.........lets hope for good weather.....
OK, LIN, i`m orf....sad to say the the other thing i was doing looks to be falling at the wayside, cannot say why on here, hummmmmmm.......Terrible Ivan... _________________ In truth we seek,In truth we learn,In Tendering,We get neither.. |

PHEW, i have never seen nothing else like it before...........
I have got to get the final figures, but it was estimated that nearly 20,000 mods and rockers turned up on mondays ACE Cafe`s Run To Southend......
Me- almost speechless..(that dont happen very often..).............
After our run up the A12 to brentwood, chuck a left down the A128 to the Half way House Pub meeting point (for us).........
Then the run into Southend arriving about 11-30 `ish....from the Kursal to well past the pier and the Casino, nothing but bikes an scoots parked up..
Past the pier, the duel carrigeway was shut one side just to park bikes...
Live music OUTSIDE the Pubs, fantastic time was had by all, except perhaps the car drivers stuck in jams miles long trying to get into Southend....
The moral of the story is two fold really... Buy a bike to beat the jams, buy a bike to have fun.......
BUT dont try to get into Southend by car next year when its the annual ACE Cafe run to Southend............
Perhaps T.D.C. can learn lessons from looking at how to attract visiters to a seaside sea front, and / or town centre AND make them welcome...RE-LAST SUNDAYS Scooter run to Clacton.........
How much do you think was taken by shops / pubs / cafes/ etc from about 20,000 money spending public having a good time..........
Its not rocket science is it................ _________________ In truth we seek,In truth we learn,In Tendering,We get neither.. |

As i`ve been good of late, its about time that i mentioned some of the "clothes" that some of the more curvier biker chicks were wearing, or not as it happens, on glorious Monday at sarfend.........
If you ever had the privilidge of meeting what seemed like hundreds of Miss Whiplashes, all at one venue, you can only dream about it.....ha..ha..ha..
Its not that i noticed, but some of the very nice scooter bebes were dressed in swinging 70`s-80`s gear with skirts so short you could see forever, more so when riding the scoots..........
But me glasses kept steaming up.......hhhmmmmmmmmmm......
All i can say it`s a good job i never had on my 24hour blood pressure moniter, would have had a heart attack reading it later on.........lol..........

As i have been quiet for some time, i`m back........
Its been a funny old month for us in the outer reaches of Clacton on the Gold Coast...
We all have had some glorious weather, and as i have been watering my, my neighbours, my daughters gardens for over a week, that nice kind person that looks over us all has given my job away....lol....
Today, in the pouring rain, myself and my best 2 femails went walking along the beach, up along the sea wall and round our much improved Arts Stratergy Martello Tower.(thats still not been open this year..!.) round past Park resorts and back down Lotus /Midway roads back to Madhouse Central..(home)..
Funny, but in a way i enjoyed walking in the rain, i had a peaked cap on to try and keep the rain off my glasses, it never worked...lol...i had my motor cycle coat on to keep the rain out, still found its way down my neck, my chunky caterpiller boots on, that leaked water onto my toes, and as i had my hands in my coat pockets, my pockets wanted to fill up with rain water, like little warm moving puddles around my fingers....lol...
Of course the dogs loved it, soaking wet running and running like possessed mad dogs, but never too far away from me.......
I dont know if they knew that i was getting tired, but kept looking back to see if i was still keeping up...??..sort of....
poor old Jaywick, or more so Brooklands, really does suffer in the rainy season, the puddles along most of the length of Brooklands are really getting deeper by the week as the road surface is just failing, or just sinking into the very sand it was built on..
We have massive pot holes AGAIN in Brooklands, and when filled like large lake size puddles, the busses and heavy transport bash and crash through them and make my, and others, bungalows shudder with vibration...
The grockels find it funny to speed along into the puddles spraying all and sundry with dirty, oily, sandy, rock strewn water that would never be allowed in any other place....
It would be funny if said grockels wheels really bashed down the largest of pot holes / craters, only to collapse upon the cars suspension....
Oh dear, just what have you done....never mind, you can sit in the puddles to change your wheels then...ha..ha..ha....
Should not mock really, but after being well and truly soaked one day, its payback time soon....
As for Ivans adventures on his rooting tooting scooting thing, i`ve not been far, except for a few clacton scoot members meeting on a wednesday evening then going to face the hundreds of bikers that meet on the green at Gt. Bentley.....
HA..HA..HA... we had a few "funny" looks, and remarks made to us, but old Ivan growled back to them, as status quo soon prevailed..
We even had a good chat to a few bikers, well we all ride on two wheel after all...
what we did like and sit on was a 1500 cc honda bike, flat 6 cylinder monster of a thing, lovley bike though, had more chrome than most scoots....
Another thing was the amount of Harley Davidsons there too...
All sorts of bikes meet there its good fun really, you have a tea hut..(burger van).. ice cream van as well as the pubs ! !
Well, as i type this, i`ve been asleep earlier..(watching the telly in the bedroom love...lol..) and so its been a good day really, even put a temp.washing line up under our "sun" gazeebo to try and get some washing dry....(save the green house gasses by not using my tumble drier)...and money too.......
And tomorrows weather, more washing under the "sun" gazeebo i think...lol...
So, i`m still here, now broadband enabled even...long story, dont even ask...lol.....

Gosh ,haven't we all been quiet ??.
My excuse is that I have been repairing the damage a 5 month old puppy has done to my house. He's eaten the stair carpet three times ,no-one in the house has any slippers worth wearing ,he has decided it is time to redecorate the hall way and started 'preparing' the walls by removing the wallpaper, there are no sponges left in the bathroom (but a consolation of that is we don't have to hunt the dog poo in the garden as it now comes in various colours) ,he has discovered how to open the fridge door and has now moved on to the garden where he has removed all the sweet pea canes .I am hoping he will stop when his 'itchy teeth' finally fall out.
Went for a walk on the beach over the Bank Holiday ,very quiet down there ,wonder why????
I even braved the town centre again ,who laid those slabs?????(probably the same people who planted Clactons Famous wonky trees) are we sub contracting to the blindfold brigade ,it looked awful in the bright light of day I felt sea sick walking on then as none of them are level.I also noted that the new smoking ban will pose a few problems for the bright spark who thought up the ingenious white slabs.Next time you are in town have a look outside each shop doorway where the staff are smoking outside ,there are piles of fag ends stubbed out and it looks awful.
While I am at it ,why are we paying for parking spaces in the Jackson Road Car Park that are covered in broken glass??.Who is responsible for the car parks they are disgustingly filthy ,come on TDC we have lost our parking spaces ,now we have to put up with dirty ,dangerous and overpriced car parks.GET A GRIP or we will fade into a grotty little town on the edge of England.
Oh ,also went to Harwich on Sunday.......sorry Essexgurl for bringing the rain with me....
Off to walk the dogs .....
Hope everyone is ok and that the weather brightens up a bit... |

|
|
Well, today being such a nice day, old Ivan decieded to take 3 large sacks of grass cuttings to Rush green Tip..(old word for it but..)
So off i started, when pulling out my turning, i managed to put a mahoosive dent in my new ( once upon a time) nice motor car..
That gave me the hump....
So at the tip, done the tipping thing, and on the way back, being so nice, pressed the window swithch on my cars window to down and down it went......with a bang.......uummmmmmmmmmmm..
So we reached home, parked up, pressed the up button for the window upmode and ..........nothing.........well got the hump now.........
5 hours later, having taken the whole door panels of both drivers door and well dented back passenger door, my "little boy" done his best to get mahoosive dent out of door, putting back on door panel, looked at me slowly getting well wound up....(not like my window....lol....)
I had taken all the electronic window winding mechanisam out, welded the broken halves, sprayed it silver to stop it going rusty, tried putting it all back and.......
.......................................NOTHING.................................
I dont know who was doing the most winding up, certainly not the window....................lol.............
So old Ivan does what he always and went for a cup of tea..........
At this point, the nearest and most expensive, the nearest daughter, and most loved grandaughter all returned from "booties" / shopping and said........Havent you done that yet............
Oh grandad, just what are you doing.......
And other such self winding words of wisdom..........
At this point, "little boy" who was polishing his super shiney Lambretta for tomorrows scoot run to Sarfend, said, move out the way, and i`ll do it......
Well...................
An hour later, and its not only me now who`s well "wound-up"...still not the window...........lol.........
Exit one "little-boy" throwing the spanners on the floor, and walking off....
So now a much somber Gold Coast Explorer sat and looked at just what had to be done.............
OK, you / me have to have a cars window in the up position most of the time......my one was down....so.....take out again all the gizmo that makes it work ..and.... it falls down.................
Wrong................now your thinking why not..???.....................
COZ dumb old Ivan took a length of 2 x 1 wood, cut 2 pieces to the right length, so that it stood on the inside bottom of the doors, and held up the window....................
Hay Prestow..............
I`m sure that when Honda Motors designed there once top of the range big old cruiser of a car, they never thought about old Ivan in the Gold Coast and his 2 lumps of wood............ha...ha...ha..........
Now i have a "pattern" of the needed gizmo to do the up and down of a drivers window, i can trawl ebay and elsewhere for its replacement.......
Do wish i had done that 5 or more hours before that though.....lol....
So, what did you do today.....................lol.............. _________________ In truth we seek,In truth we learn,In Tendering,We get neither.. |

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
HA...HA...HA....
OK, not made a start on said pram, but as they say....it`s in its design stage yet..
And fluffy dice, well, i`ll draw the line at PINK fluffy dice coz i`m a blokey person..
Today i`ve been at the new horror-spital in Romford again, to check on me vitals..
It might be called "queens" but its real butch i can tell you..........lol....
Still never got to take a picture of the GRAND piano in the foyer though, i forgot, only too glad to get out.........lol.....
I got dragged round Romfords shopping halls after.......not a happy shopper me.....
Still, i did get my torch batteries for when we get power cuts......it`all never happen now...
Funny thing about Romford Town centre parking, from july 1st, even blue badge holders will have pay to park........ssshhhhhhh.....dont tell TDC for chr*sts sake...lol..
So young Lin and our watchers, Ivans been up since 5am, am tired and want some sleep please..........
Not getting some yet, as yon hose pipe becons like a sleeping coiled snake that needs to be woken up with cold water........
