I popped into town this morning and having a few minutes till the yellow perils(or should that be green meanies)could get me ,thought I would have a wander round the covered market.
Lots of bargains to be had and all the stall-holders were very friendly and helpful.
I got chatting to one of them and he was saying how business had gone down since the town centre improvements. The stall -holders are doing all they can to get noticed and have got together and printed leaflets ect .
So I said to the chap that I would put a bit on here about it.
Lots to be had ,jewellery ,pet supplies ,cards ,playstaion games ect (had to put that one in as they were very reasonable and will now have a couple of hours peace and quiet) ,a super lttle gift and ornament stall that should tempt anyone and much more.......
Please support this area as it seems to have been forgotten by TDC and they are all local stallholders.

Quite rightly so too. I often walk around the indoor Market, the pet food stall`s "smell" always reminds me of the old RUMFORD Indoor Market..(never spelt it wrong either young Lin.) _________________ In truth we seek,In truth we learn,In Tendering,We get neither.. |

I love the covered market! I haven't been there for a long time though, I may have to pop in there in the morning if I get time between cleaning the house and buying the lunch... I hate it when my parents go on holiday! :p _________________ =D |

Hi Nikadi ,there is what my Grandson calls a 'Twinkly Stall' at the back ,don't go near it if ,like me ,you are a magpie for shiny tings, lovely little stall for buying pressies though.
I just find that the stall holders are such a helpful bunch ,always ready with a chat ,no rush ,no youths serving you whilst chewing gum and looking bored.
The petfood stall is very good too.Our puppy has a delicate digestive system (though wallpaper ,carpets and shoes seem to agree with his guts !!) and the nice lady on the stall gave me lots of advice and samples to try him on ,he is now a happy puppy as we eventually found a suitable diet thanks to these kind folk.
BUT there is the possibility that this super little spot could go under unless it is sign-posted and parking sorted out..........still I suppose it would make an ideal area for putting MORE flats up when the council finally drive them all to bankruptcy.Perhapa the plan ??????? |
