HIYA, i have been let lose from the home for the day and wondered if anyone reads this drivel i`m putting on here... We dont bite, We wont fright, but we would like you to put something on, if only to say QUIET--PLEASE....lol....Go on, you know you want to, it does not hurt to try, you can remain annonimouse x anonimose x annon imee or something, wish i could spell..anonymous proper like....IVAN.B...p.s. I was at a meeting today and a very nice lady said a very funny comment, but not meaning to, she said she had a ' senior ' moment.... i like that..senior moment, i have them all the time. what was i saying, oh yes, i forget things sometimes....i am proud to tell people that i will / should get my freedom buss pass in just over a year, as long as the clock keeps ticking that is... Funny, but not so many years ago, when i over heard ' old ' people talking about buss passes, it never occured to me that one day i also would get a free buss pass, i cant wait now.. I will use it, but i`m not stuck for transport as readers of my other posts will tell you, i am a bit ' Different ' i like cycles, motor cycles, cars, even busses when free of course... And when i have to visit my dearest grandaughter in deepest greater London i love the drive, but also now like to sit in the passenger seat and go to sleep and wake up there....Its like Doctor Who in his Tardis, on Time Travel.....lol....Must get that dark blue paint out one day...

As i "visit" these pages, i often wonder just how old do you have to be, to be a Pensioner these days......

Where shall i start.....
Well, i`m 59, trying to act 29....ha..ha..ha..
You know, and i know, them old bones wont let you do that, but............

Like most "older" people, i have a long story on health issues, so much so that i have not worked for over the last 4 years.......
Now this has two sides to it all...
:- 1 its great not going to work, but....
:- 2 it takes time to adjust to not living to a good wage every week..
:- 3 if you are not carefull, you can start to "waste" away after the first year or so.
:- 4 so i got involved with the running of a community group, but i found that too
much of my time was taken up on community issues, which got to a point it took over my whole life, so that had to be reduced down a bit...(not enough play makes jack a dull boy..)..
:- 5 at what point do you have to retire, if you want to....Do you still want to work until your 70 odd like the bosses at GB.UK. want you to....Not for me, as i worked myself silly before, never again thank you...
But its a personal choice thingy....Fine if your bored and fit....Hard if your tired, unwell, and got other interests that take your time up........

But at the end of the day, its up to you.........Have a nice day, as they say elsewhere..........ha..ha..ha.........

How old, how young, how is the bit inbetween...............

We have an 80 year old thats a councillor in Golf green, who is also an essex county councillor........
I also belive him to be chairman of our council in Clacton......

Ask Cllr. Roy Smith if he is a young 80year old........
He certainly does enough to make you think he`s a lot younger..

If we take that into context, our "older" people could revitalise our Town centre with new business..

http://money.aol.co.uk/new-busine...-50s/article/20071024190809990011

BUT, what would we sell..
What should we sell..
What do we need that`s not being sold allready..

If you had a good idea on what would sell in our Town Centre, from a shop, now is the time to speak, not only speak, but SHOUT what we / you / us / need on a daily basis....

Have a think, come back and tell us....if we dont all know, we will never know will we....

For those that read the daily gazette, some bloke has had a porn site in Clacton shut down...
it was on the 60 + website.
OK, how many of you ever went on that site..

Noticed this in paper Ivan, what was of equal or more concern was the fact that there were links to porn site on TDC Home page.

Will we now have details of all local council tax payers along with their names, addresses & bank accounts going missing ?

Just a thought as I was very concerned, when attenting council meetings, at the obvious lack of IT knowledge that our council appears to have in terms of security.

Your posting does highlight severe lack of sucure I T  access on not just TDC`s website, but many more to boot.

Just last night, my I P warned me of an attempt to access my account from another location and so shut down my account for security reasons untill i re set it up again with the provider....

I have noticed on Douglas's site how many porn sites lock on and enrol as members, this surely cannot be that hard to fix can it?

Strange we don't get this trouble here but then we have little advertising I suppose?
