Colchesters retailers are saying "hands off" to their town centers regeneration bid..........
Is it not too late to do the same to our town center....

Talking about the Town Centre ....did anyone read the letter in the Local Gazette last Thursday ??? .
If anyone knows the lady who wrote it ,please give her a pat on the back .
She really hit the nail on the head.
All the town centre is now is a vast circular route that you can't get off .It gives you a tiny glimpse of the town ,then you are diverted off down Pallister Road ,past the NO PARKING spots and out of the town again.
Unless of course you want to pay the extortionate car parking prices and find there is only room on the upstairs of the Multi storey (ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ,I mean ,of course, the Meccanno structure ,designed and built by a 9 year old in one of the ever popular 'design a Christmas Card ,poster ,road layout 'competitions promoted by local politicians because they cannot think of anything sensible ).You know the one with the narrowest spaces ever ,my corsa just about squidges in and a real pain in the bum if you have children or are slightly disabled ,those steps are a real hazard in the wet cold weather.
Who exactly was the buffoon who dreamt this up ??,give him a kick up the rear please.
WHILE I'M HAVING A MOAN ...HOW ABOUT.......
See that our dear friends the Amazing Mayzes are planning to open up ANOTHER charity shop in town ,proceeds go to Tendring Youth Forum ..........yeah ,right ....just what we need eh ....that should pull the crowds in....at this rate ,we won't have a town centre ,just rows and rows of charity shops ........ |

Ergh, I heard about that charity shop idea (& commented on the article you may've noticed, as I usually do with anything Mayze-related).
I've realised that I'm gonna be after a job next summer, a job in the same place that Older Mayze-half works, or used too, I don't know if he still does. Dammit I'm screwed over :/ _________________ =D |
