Heard a rumour today that Bernards has been made an offer and that they are relocating. Has anyone else heard about this?

I must be honest.
today, as with other days, when i look at some of the shops in and around the Harwich / Dovercourt area, it also is in dire need of money being spent in it to regenerate the shopping areas in its High Streets..
Those who know of my passion for regeneration of my village area, know that money is so badly needed, but just where do you start.
In my village, the community is split on how it should be done, with some residents just not wanting anything done at all.
In Councillor David Lines Budget Speech in the Town hall, he says regeneration is not if, but when.
In the Harwich and local area, it is the same.....
The main driver for regeneration would be a massive increase in Jobs.
+++++ JOBS MEAN PROSPERITY+++++++++++++++++
How long has the Haven gateway been going, how long to wait and see,
how much longer do the suffering residents of our communities have to look at boarded up shops in its High streets, in its communities, its empty factories.....
I read somewhere (Housing and Regeneration Bill) that a sum of 2,300 MILLION is set aside for the
H C A (Homes and Communities Agency)
Its objectives of the H C A are:-
to improve the supply and quality of housing in England, among other things...
I realise this new Bill has yet to gain momentum, but as MP Barbara Follet is the Champion for regeneration, and East Of England one at that, its about time she came down from Peterborough and have a good look at our communities in the coastal villages and towns in Tendring.........
...AND SOON TOO........ _________________ In truth we seek,In truth we learn,In Tendering,We get neither.. |
