Between May and September 2003 a series of consultation exercises were carried out with the Jaywick residents and visitors asking them what they wanted to see happen to their area in the future. This was funded by The Countryside Agency through the Vital Villages Parish Plans Scheme, and was facilitated by the Rural Community Council of Essex, working with the Jaywick Community Forum. This resulted in "What We Want for the Future", a Community Plan for Jaywick. This SSCF programme seeks to deliver the priorities identified by the people of Jaywick.
