Many thanks for your e-mail. Your first port of call for an update on the programme really needs to be Tendring District Council as the local authority for the area, although I do know that support is also being provided by Essex County Council and EEDA (the Regional Development Agency). I have, however, attended some meetings recently and do know that the detailed flood risk study is nearing completion, and that the Council intends to make it available to residents and others with an interest as soon as the Environment Agency have checked the technical detail. I imagine that this will be in the next month or so.
Beyond that I'm also aware that Essex and Tendring have been giving further thought to feasible options for Jaywick in parallel with that flood risk work (clearly the way forward needs to take flood risk fully into account). As you may be aware the Tendring District Local Plan has also been adopted recently, which provides an up-to-date planning policy framework for Jaywick in the meantime.
I hope this is helpful.
Kind regards
