Oh dear, `ol tell`s got stuck in post again..
In view of all the flack going on in Frinton of late, its small wonder that no one else wanted to stand up for the Mayors job is it...
In any good circus, you only need ONE good clown at the front...
too many and the paying public fail to see who is good or bad.....
anyone want to borrow a 1 year old clowns costume... .?
no, i did`nt think so either.... .... |

The reason given was that standing down after a year in post would mean that the experience gained in that year would be lost.
If that is a valid argument then it would be even more valid after another year and so on.
I would like to propose that the post of mayor is retitled "President For Life" and is accordingly held for the lifetime of the incumbent.
Seemed to work for Idi Amin, Robert Mugabe and Papa Doc Duvalier and look how their people prospered under such benign rule. (and they didn't have a set of railway crossing gates or a single gold-plated khazi between them) |

EL Presidente`
or was that Tel Presidente`
funny thing though, his local voters didd`nt want him, why do "they" want him for the top clowns job..
I suppose its like Generals who lead battles, do so from a safe position, they decied who to send in first, normaly its the poor souls who are expendable.
So, top job clowns must be the same........
such a loverly seat of office too..........where does he park his elephant, while he sits in his seat of splendor.....beside the sea side-beside the sea.......lol...lots.
