Its ironic but i found this article in the Gazette... Confused

"Today, “moral panic” is a universal term, used when communities feel their values are being undermined by an outside force. But it isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

“Crime pulls people together, even though there may not be a strong connection between individuals,” pointed out Dr Pat Cox, senior lecturer in sociology and criminology at Essex University."

Anybody that has watched or read Charles Dickens's works will know that each and every person commits crime of one sort or another during their life.

Nothing anyone can say can reduce the impact of parental abuse, physical or sexual, this abuse is unforgivable in the wider sense although sufferers might come to understand causation, none of which can under any circumstance be laid at the door of the child.

However, as we take on responsibility, some becoming 'professionals' the harm that we do to others increases.  This simple explanation is why we should expect so much from our doctors, lawyers, policemen and politicians.

Cleverer people often fill these roles, so as temptation increases detection is obscured by the perpetrator more effectively.

A fish rots from the head, be that the head of the household or head of country.

Whilst on this subject generally, nowadays witness the police, council officials and others issuing Fixed Penalty Notices with great abandon.

The idea that penalties can be issued without trial is contrary to law in the UK and as a result is very dangerous, allowing a wide range of officials the power of judge and jury.

It really is time our elected representatives stood up for the rights of the common man, foregoing the the usual excuse ' it is expedient' this covering the real usage of the FPN, the desire by neurotic people to punish and control others.

Abuse of the legal system.

Certainly giving untrained people such power will lead to official crime.

Is this how a democracy is run?

Clacton could have had this much money spending tourists, but no.

Not only has our "new" town centre manager walked away from T D C,
but T D C dont want anyone to visit us en mass.

The Isle of Wight holds it arms OPEN to welcome money spenders...
