As i sit here in my "office" reading the Gazettes report of the sheer volume of Police, dog handlers, robo cops with helmet cams and transport police, PCOS, and various undercover hippy cops no doubt,
who turned up for what was a very expensive days policing for the Frinton & Waltons Town Council,
on the non- event of the term return time frolics,
i just have to smile... Laughing

When you think back a year or two at a time when civic leaders were "supposedly" or was that "allegedly" forcing entry into a local political hedquarters, we never seemed to have seen that number of police units about then, did you ?... Wink

As someone once said, its a funny old world...... Wink

But then the recent documentry about the way the good folk of Frinton conduct themselves, only highlights the way its civic leaders, or was that leader  Question  runs the place... Embarassed .

What with red phone box humping, and throwing tantrums about the poorly painted gates of heaven going to be junked, its a dogs life for some in Frinton.. Rolling Eyes

Really Ivan, it's about time we finished this gate saga once and for all what about a concrete wall right across the road with barbed wire on top.

Isolate the lot. Laughing  Laughing

amenity old friend,

my first laugh out loud of the day..

Thank you...

P.S.
even frintonians are not THAT stupid, they have a horse & cart width underused railway bridge to use not that far from the gates of heaven,
adjacent to the ex masonic hall thats also falling down,
they also have to suffer in indignity of going by the back roads to Walton Station if they have to exit their place in heaven in a hurry like a robbers bolt hole.... Laughing

No, Frintonians do not really need to use the gates of heaven, for they are blessed with 2 other entrances to the real world elsewhere....

On second thoughts maybe we are being a bit hard on Frintonians, perhaps just ten foot high concrete stiles would do the trick.  And should TDC baulk at funding the project private donations from the people of Harwich, Dovercourt, Jaywick and Clacton and surounds could be sought? Laughing  Laughing

Very good idea amenity.

I keep meaning to have a drive down the the gates of heaven, or rather the site accross the road from it, to see just whats being dug up.

The reports of a second coming of a check point charlie for boarder control when the gates go,
is purely speculation, but its a thought though....

How high was the Berlin Wall built amenity..?

It wasn't the height just but the run across no mans land that caused the trouble, be nice to see certain people running in the searchlights wouldn't it? Very Happy  Laughing

Amenity, my third or more laugh out loud of the day,
in fact still smiling...

As time has moved on for those folk not needing to use Checkpoint Charlie into gods kingdom,
with its new fangled gates failing,
one wonders just how its latest robbery would have gone if the gates had shut firmly keeping the terrified robbers contained in an area that has close associations with GOD..

Ha Ha Ha,
just had a thought Amenity,

if TDC set up a replica checkpoint charlie @ the gates of heaven/hell if not working,
they could include it on the proposed new heritage trail, just to bring in tourism for Frinton.

OK,

maybe not then eh?

A few skeletons brought out from the Frintonian's cupboards and held within cages near the gates to warn the locals to behave.

That would attract tourists Ivan.

Don't want to boast Ivan but the good people of Dovercourt are witnessing the construction of a little Taj.

In the very near future a little snap of this wonder will adorn these pages.

Of course it will be interesting to see if we are charged as much as the users of the greater TM down Frinton way, and if TDC is wondering how to appropriate a charge that wouyld be equitable how about pro-rata with the building cost.

So greater Taj cost £500,000=20 pence

Little Taj cost say £100,000 surely no more?  = 4 pence.

Amenity,
gone are the days soon, when a man could P free,
but, perchance, would your mini me Taj have the use of dedicated disabled toilet facilities,

the magical RADAR key from Town Hall opens a world of free p`s everywhere!
except the Taj, as then the disabled are treated as a minority, in a majority world.

The 4 inch long chrome plated magical wand opens up a new world for its beholders Amenity.

Little Taj

Bigger Taj

Ivan don't want to make you jealous but:
Not may people know this (I don't think) but a third Taj has been built in Dovercourt recently.

What scientific explanation can be provided for this phenomenon, this rash of public Loo's?

Amenity, nice photo`s,
(nice shadow of you too)
I do like the stainless steel looking gutter edging,
any chance of it being to capture the rainwater?

Ok,.."What scientific explanation can be provided for this phenomenon, this rash of public Loo's?"

As far as I can remember, your fabulous loo`s were shouted for,  some time ago by both local and district councillors.

But whoever/however you have been graced by for having them, good on you all.

LOO`s,
a bit of a funny subject really,
but by jingo, if you cant find one when needed,
personaly, I get steam coming out my ears, like a kettle on boil it seems...
(or feels like it anyway)

Funny thing is there is already one loo in the park so will they close it when this is built?

Somebody said there would be no charge for using these toilets, so thats good news.

Looks like TDC has accepted that the future for this area is tourism.

Coastal towns need special care when setting up for trade after all inland sites get more through and passing traffic.

Next step surely a sales tax for shops, I can imagine antique shops and model shops, spare parts shops, (niche market) what have you, returning to this neck of the woods then.

Lets hope?

When I first saw these magical toilets appearing quite rightly thought "The queen must be visiting".

And the other explanation that occurred to me was in this area we've only got one dry cleaners now, hope thats right.

Update from TDC on the building costs of our triple public toilet scheme.

£360.000, Ivan, for the three, not bad compared to your famous Taj at Frinton.

£360.000 for three by jingo Amenity

maybe someone should voice loud questions of the Taj`s costings,
in that palace of amusement, one thursday evening perhaps.
or will cheap earplugs be passed round to full council....
