Am i right in beliving that circle anglia housing are the prefurred builders in the new project in Dovercourt...
C-A are quite big in shared ownership/partnership housing...So what are the bennefits or the pit falls of it......does it work, or is it hard work...
Will it suit me as an outright owner now, if my percentage of value in a partnership is no where near 100% on the new property...
........................ideas.........................thanks.............

Have a look here Ivan,
http://www.sharedownershipuk.com/
For my part I would need to feel very sure about the other party I was to share equity with. After all their fortunes could change. Mean't to add all this is complicared by leashold investments, flats, flying freeholds, etc etc. |

Thanks for that Ivan this is the well known football ground car park that have graced this site so often and DC's too.
TDC are keen to keep the balls in the air, one day no land will be available and then the powers that be will desinate land on the green field areas. |

Todays Gazette page 2 carried the story of the start of the biggest construction project a town has seen in 30 years..
More than 200 new homes will be built on wasteland between dovercourt and the A120 near the Phoenix bridge bypass.......
The project will have 201 houses and 18 one bedroom flats... _________________ In truth we seek,In truth we learn,In Tendering,We get neither.. |

And Ivan some (a lot) of this land is flood plain.
This area the kids once roamed over.
It will be interesting to see how readily these houses sell, other properties built have not sold remaining empty still.
It was rumoured a year or two back, that these homes were for 'essential workers' from London. |

It has just occurred to me to ask does anyone know how far this building plot is from Carless petro chemical refinery and storage depot.
Hearing the news today about Buncefield 2005 and pleas that people who were harmed by the explosion should receive more help made me ask is this new planned collection of homes ostensibly for the young within the danger area, an example of which is Buncefield? |

Talking about house construction in this area I've been reading the Haven Gateway partnership's site and here is a snip from Hawkins submission to parliament.
The Haven sub-region is identified in the Draft Plan as needing to find room for 50,000 new jobs and nearly 51,000 new homes by 2021.
Most of these homes will be built in Ipswich and Colchester according to another part of the site. |

Ivan circle anglia are part of or associated with G15 a London based group so it looks like there could be a link with London housing for the essential workers.

From Ivans post;

Have you noticed that valuable amenity land can be called waste land and back gardens can legally be called brown field sites? |
